Benefits of being an academy

Academy Status

Chepping View Primary School became a primary academy in April 2012, and at that time changed its name to Chepping View Primary Academy. This means that we are an independent state school, free from local authority control.

We believe that the freedoms available to academies will be of benefit to our pupils, as they will allow us to continue and develop the successful approaches that we already use in raising standards and supporting them to reach their full potential.

These freedoms include using our own curriculum and teaching methods.

For more information on academies please see the Buckinghamshire County Council website.
